Hotel Industrial

One would think that a hotel located in industrial wasteland of Kragujevac wouldn't be a good idea, but it's really not that bad. First of all, it is quiet, much quieter than anywhere else in the city. Your window view will be miserable, but so would it be in most other locations. Secondly, it is a nice, small hotel. Food was excellent. What was not good? They have their own parking, but if you arrive by bus you will be left to your own devices. They are not prepared for any larger groups, this there was not enough staff for breakfast and there was panic at the reception desk as we arrived. Rooms were nice and spacious but some of the solutions were not really clever (for instance, TV turning on every time you insert the key into the electricity slot). There is room for improvement. If not, as soon as a new hotel opens in Kragujevac, this one will become obsolete.

We booked our stay at the Industrial 1853 further to a friend's recommendation and positive reviews for their Spa and Pool. Having checked the rooms, we booked the Apartment as it clearly showed it had a fireplace, which is ideal for this time of the year. We made the reservation on Expedia. When arriving to the hotel after almost 2h drive from Belgrade, the receptionist welcomed us, insisting on speaking Serbian, though she understood English. We were told we have breakfast included. i thought it was very nice of them to gift us this as i remember the option didn't exist when making the reservation. We then asked when does the Spa close as it was already 16:00. To our surprise, we were told it is under renovation. When she noticed our disappointment, she explained that was the reason we were given the breakfast. "not ideal, but at least we have the pool" i thought to myself. apparently it's also closed. She offered to postpone the reservation if we wanted, i explained it was a bit late for that as we'd driven all the way and are here! They should've warned us beforehand. "we won't let it ruin our weekend" we thought and went up to the room. Very nice (apartment) room i must say, but... no fireplace. By now, there was no reason for us to stay there. i went down to the reception and explained that we are leaving and do not expect to be charged for this stay. When leaving the property, the receptionist made it very clear that at hotel Industrial 1853, what you see in the photos isn't what you get! Lady, you need to inform your guests about such issues and not drop on them like that! poor situation handling by the management and very stupid answers by the front desk

The hotel is a bit out of the way from the city center which is not a problem given the cheap taxi prices. The service and the kitchen is very good, the staff is particularly friendly. What I didn't like was that the air conditioning was set to 26 degrees, and the temperature in the whole house was the same. In times when energy is very expensive, you should make sure that it is not overheated, I found it very uncomfortable. I was in week 03/23 again here, still very warm, in week 05/23 I will stay in other Hotel. 11.10.23 again here but for sure last Time. Room was booked over Travel Agency, got few days for travel information Credit Card not valid but i got two bookings on my Card. Industrial cancelled my room. After protest i got a Room but for 75% more. Also Dinner with 10 people, we ordered dry aged steaks medium rare what we got was all well done. We must pay this full, very expensive for twice-dead meat. .....New silicone joints in the bathroom wouldn't be bad

This review is regarding restaurant only. Really good service, great ambient and good food. I'd say the food is good, but not great as it does not live up to the price. I ordered Ramstek Industrial, and it wasn't bad by no means, but I expected more considering the price. Meat was well done, taste was bland, but decorations and everything else on the plate we really good.
